Sustainable innovation in an African context - Tom Walsh, Ceo Renetech

With a global perspective, it is Renetech's mission to be a developer of sustainable and environmentally adapted renewable energy projects; electricity, vehicle fuel, heat and biogas produced through solutions involving renewable sources, including waste and biomass management, hydropower, solar and geothermal energy conversion.

Tom Walsh who is currently Chief Executive Officer at Renetech AB has been working in the renewable energy sector for over 15 years and being involved in over 25 projects in the areas of bioenergy, waste to biofuel, hydro and solar, across the entire project cycle. Mr. Walsh has been involved as a consultant to develop bioenergy/ hydro/solar projects from a pre-feasibility phase to implementation in Ireland, Sweden, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Botswana, Ghana, South Africa, Senegal, Cote D’Ivoire, among others.
